GreenHer CoE, National and University Library of Slovenia and Slovenian node of the European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science are delighted to announce the following event:
From Data Space to Digital Research Tools for Cultural Heritage: E-RIHS.si Digilab Founding Forum
Ljubljana, 15 Oct 2026
The National and University Library (NUK) is preparing a scoping study for the establishment of the E-RIHS.SI Digilab – a digital research environment that will enable researchers to access data, advanced digital tools and digital research infrastructures, knowledge and support for cultural heritage research.
Please register here. Registration does not automatically mean attendance: please wait for our confirmation email.
The full event programme will be made available here in due time. The event langugage is Slovenian, with the exception of some invited talks.
We aim to design future services of the E-RIHS.si Digilab together with the research community, based on real needs. Therefore, as part of the 1st E-RIHS.si Digilab Slovenia Forum, we invite researchers and experts from universities, research institutes, museums, libraries, archives, conservation institutions and other organizations to present their work in the form of a poster.
What should be presented?
We invite you to present a digital tool, method, research data source, infrastructure or research process that you are developing or using in cultural heritage research.
Presentations in the following areas are particularly welcome:
- Digital research tools and applications;
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning;
- Analysis and visualization of textual, image, audio, 2D/3D and spatial data;
- GIS, OCR, HTR, annotation, modeling, or simulation;
- Research databases, repositories and digital research infrastructures;
- Management, documentation, FAIRification, permanent preservation and reuse of research data;
- 2D/3D digitization and other innovative digital approaches in heritage science.
What information are we interested in?
In addition to presenting your work, we are also interested in what you need in your research and what is missing. On the poster, we invite you to highlight any needs for data, digital tools, computer infrastructure, repositories, consulting, training or other services that could be provided by E-RIHS.SI Digilab in the future.
Poster presentations, together with interactive workshops, will be an important part of the consultation with the research community. The gathered experiences, needs and suggestions will be included in the scoping study and will contribute to the design of the future set of services E-RIHS.SI Digilab.
How to participate?
