GreenHer CoE in collaboration with the Chemistry for Cultural Heritage Working Party of the EuChemS (European Chemical Society) is delighted to announce the 8th Conference on Chemistry for Cultural Heritage organised by GreenHer CoE, to be held in Bled, Slovenia, from 8-11 June 2026.
The ChemCH conference series, organised biannually since 2010 by the EuChemS Working Party on Chemistry for Cultural Heritage, focuses on the role of chemical sciences in understanding, conserving and using cultural heritage. Covering all heritage typologies, from objects and buildings to landscapes, the conference aims to advance knowledge of heritage materials, their environments and their use. Recent advances in analytical methods, instrumentation, computational approaches and AI have greatly enhanced the study of heritage materials, their degradation processes and conservation treatments, while promoting interdisciplinary research driven by the needs of the heritage sector.
